Most of the figs from the Ebay nurseries seem to sell tissue culture figs. They are on the small side and with many suckers. I'm not sure if I am a fan of these yet. They just seem a bit weaker than cuttings and I've read will take longer to fruit.
I have Olympian, LSU purple, and Black mission.
They don't take longer to fruit... that's just what people saying cuttings say to protect their market.
ReplyDeleteHi Ben ,
ReplyDeleteMay I know where do you buy the the victamin agar ?
I received a black mission culture plant and was size of a leaf and trunk about thin as a nail. 3 months later it looks real cool with all its tiny leaves but only 6 inches tall. The other cuttings I have gotten at same time already have fruit on them and one is 3 feet tall, others 2 feet. True this is variety dependent. Once culture plants get going they do grow well and more similar to a seedling. At least this is what my black missions look like at 6 inches by 5 inches. Started out at 2 1/2 inches with one leaf on them. Seller clearly rushed the sell. All good though.
