Update:
Looks like the Smith plant is working overtime to pump nutrients into the new leaves and figs. The cutting that was made almost 2 months ago has not calloused and is spewing a lava flow of latex. It should heal over on it's own.

2/29/16 Smith Fig Brebas
It's February and the Smith Fig has pushed out 12 awesome looking Brebas.
