A medium, brown, very sweet fig from Caniço, Madeira Island.
Castanhal fig has been growing in a self watering DIY 5 gallon bucket for the last year. It seems to love it considering how beautifully its growing out. The brebas are not holding on though so I'm not 100% sure what factors are causing this or if it just too young of plant.
Here's one Breba that is holding on. I hope it actually ripens.
Let's hope it makes to this size.
