Fig Review: Yellow Long Neck Breba 2020

After some further feedback. It does appear that this fig is probably not a long yellow. I do have other Long yellow trees that will ripen this year. That's why it's always importantly to buy from more than 1 source.

My new favorite Japanese Maple - Japanese Princess Maple

Japanese Princess Maple. The color on this variety is absolutely stunning in the spring and fall. This is not my tree but its the tree that has made me fall in love with this variety.

Related to the Mikawa Yatsubusa. It's growth habits are exactly the same with the difference of the pink foliage that occurs in the spring and fall.

It grows to about 6-8ft and is a stunner in any collection.

Niwaki Nursery

I want to run my own nursery and this week I've taken steps to make this a reality... This is a preview of the logo.

Niwaki (庭木) is the Japanese word for "garden trees". Niwaki is also a descriptive word for highly 'sculpting trees'

It will be hard and tiring compared to my cushy office job, but I have the mental fortitude to take up this challenge and run a business that I have a passion for.

Tour of Andrew's Koi International in Anaheim, CA

While I was down in Southern California for a Disney trip I snuck in a quick visit to Andrew's Koi International in Anaheim, CA.

I couldn't resist and ended up buying a nice looking Inazuma patterned Kohaku. The trick was how do I bring it home?

Watch the video to see.
