Tasting the Longue D'Aout Main Crop 2018

Tasting the Longue D'Aout Main Crop 2018
Picked 9/29/18
2 Crops

2015

The Longue D'aout (pronounced Loonge Doot) is another breba favored fig. The brebas are a long and melony flavored fig.

The main crops ripen in September and are not as good in my opinion.

 46.7 Grams

This particular fig could have used another couple days on the tree. Overall, it actually tasted worse than a Brunswick main crop. Grow this fig for the brebas, the main crop is a nice bonus but just doesn't stack up to so many other good figs that ripen in September.
